L01 Treatment

LO1: Treatment

TREATMENT
THE BRIEF
I have been asked to create a shot film which must be at least 5 minutes long.

CONCEPT IDEA
The idea of a my documentary, is a musical documentary about a producer named Morgon, who makes hip-hop instrumentals. The video will document his life as a producer and I will also ask him questions on how he produces his instrumentals.
TARGET AUDIENCE

The target audience will be people who are the ages  12 and older as my documentary does not really contain any bad language. My documentary would also be for the social grades being C1,C2 AND B as I feel as if a musical documentary can relate to multiple classes of people as everyone no matter what class can be interested in music.

KEY MILESTONES
1.     Planning the documentary – Treatment, Storyboards, Organise days to film. (15th September – 1st November).
2.     Filming the documentary – (30th October – 25th November).
3.     Editing the documentary– (26thth November – 21st December).
4.     Launch date – (Friday 25h December).

EQUIPMENT
Camera: Canon eos 650d to film the documentary
Microphone - I will use an external rode microphone
Tripod – I will be using a tripod to record my documentary as this makes sure the fotage is stable and is not shaking.
ACTORS
Morgon Buchanan

HEALTH AND SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS
I will complete recce forms of the location as this will make sure that it has been safely checked and is ok to film in the location.

LEGAL AND ETHICAL CONSIDERATIONS
The only legal and ethical considirations would be copyright recording the artist and using his music, as well as recording him.

MODEL RELEASE
I will need release and content forms to have permission from the artist/model to record the documentary.
CONTINGENCIES
If the weather is not appropriate, I will film the documentary on another day as I do not wan't any equipment to get damaged.

If the model can not turn up on the day, I will arrange another day with the artist.
